For those who want to take a day trip from Edinburgh and prefer a shorter journey, our Loch Lomond, the Kelpies and Stirling Castle tour is perfect. Loch Lomond, known as the Queen of the Lochs, is renowned for its beauty and tranquillity. On the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond you’ll discover the picturesque village of Balmaha and see the magnificent Ben Lomond, the most southernly of the Munros, stretching nearly 1,000 metres into the air. We go on to visit the mythical Kelpies, the largest equine sculptures in the world and a unique landmark of the central belt. Finally, we visit Stirling Castle and learn about the exploits of legends including William Wallace, Robert the Bruce and Mary Queen of Scots. Other highlights of the day include a photo stop at Doune Castle, set of TV shows Outlander and Game of Thrones and lunch stop at Aberfoyle, a natural retreat in the heart of the Trossachs National Park.
